Lower LCOE and CAPEX of Vertex N 700W+ series modules assessed by UL Solutions
2024.05.31

Trina Solar’s Vertex N 700W+ series modules have shown much lower LCOE and CAPEX compared with 182N reference modules, according to an assessment conducted in Brazil and Germany, says Shaily Milany, solar advisory lead at UL Solutions, a global renewables advisory leader.

“We have done previous LCOE assessments for Trinasolar in Australia and UAE with consistent results,” Milany told a webinar on May 15.

According to the assessment, compared with reference modules, Trina Solar’s Vertex N 700W+ series modules LCOE and CAPEX are 2.2% and 1.9% lower in Germany and 1.8% and 1.6% lower in Brazil. The energy yield results are also higher than those of reference modules. The results indicate the energy output is also higher than that of reference modules and highlight the superior Vertex N 700W+ series modules and their advantages among the global competition.

“These results are consistent with what we have seen in every single region,” said Matheus Rodrigues, head of product solution and marketing for LATAM at Trina Solar, who at the webinar extolled the great value of the Vertex N 700W+ series modules. Based on 210mm n-type TOPCon technology, these modules have a maximum power conversion efficiency of 23.2% and a maximum power output of 720W. The company has recently announced its 210mm n-type TOPCon module has reached a world-record laboratory power output of 740W, having earlier set world records dozens of times.

Trina Solar’s Vertex N 700W+ modules, with their advantages in ultra-low degradation, low voltage, optimized bifaciality, ultra-low operating temperature coefficient, high string power, are endowed with high energy yield, high efficiency, high reliability, high performance and low LCOE, and are renowned as leaders among ground-mounted power stations, acclaimed by customers worldwide.

“We are confident our Vertex N 700W+ series modules will increasingly be put into service worldwide,” Rodrigues said, with currently three solar parks using Trina Solar’s Vertex N 700W+ series modules having been connected to the grid recently. A 500MW photovoltaic power station project now being built in Xinghai county, Qinghai province, also uses Vertex N 700W+ series modules.

Trina Solar, with its mission of “Solar Energy for All”, continues to innovate with its mainstream n-type TOPCon technology and products, offering greater customer value with advanced technology, reliable products and solutions.
