Changzhou/München, 09. November 2015 – Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL), ein weltweit führender Hersteller von PV-Modulen, -Lösungen und -Services, gibt bekannt, dass sein unternehmenseigenes State Key Lab of PV Science and Technology einen neuen Weltrekord für eine hocheffiziente multikristalline P-Typ Siliziumsolarzelle erreicht hat.
Die neue Rekord-Solarzelle wurde auf Basis eines qualitativ hochwertigen mc-Si Substrats hergestellt. Das Herstellungsverfahren nutzt zudem die fortschrittliche Honey Plus Technologie, einschließlich Oberflächenpassivierung der Rückseite, sowie einem lokalen Rückseitenfeld (local back surface field).
Die 156 x156 mm2 große multikristalline P-Typ Siliziumsolarzelle erreichte eine Gesamtflächeneffizienz von 21,25%. Dieses Resultat wurde durch ein unabhängiges Gutachten des Fraunhofer ISE CalLab in Deutschland bestätigt.
Damit bricht die Solarzelle den vorausgegangenen Rekord von 20,76%, den vor einem Jahr ebenfalls eine mc-Si Solarzelle von Trina Solar aufgestellt hatte. Für den neuen Rekord wurden nur kostengünstige industrielle Verfahren angewendet, die sehr einfach in die Großserienproduktion übertragen werden können.
