November 2015 – Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL), ein weltweit führender Hersteller von PV-Modulen, -Lösungen und -Services, ist auf dem achten International Roundtable of Multinational Corporations' Leaders ("IRMCL") in Peking mit zwei renommierten Auszeichnungen für Umweltschutz prämiert worden.
Trina Solar erhielt die Auszeichnung als führendes multinationales Unternehmen im Bereich Umweltschutz (Leading International Multinational Corporation in Environmental Protection 2015) für seine Schlüsselrolle bei der weltweiten Weiterentwicklung erneuerbarer Energie, seinen Beitrag zur Abschwächung des Klimawandels, seine gute CO2-Bilanz und sein Engagement für eine umweltfreundliche, nachhaltige Entwicklung.
Jifan Gao, Präsident und CEO von Trina Solar, wurde außerdem mit dem Award für „International Multinational Corporation's Leader of Environmental Protection 2015“ ausgezeichnet. Honoriert wurden dabei sein aktives Engagement und seine Führungsqualitäten bei Umweltschutzinitiativen sowie seine Erfolge bei der Bereitstellung intelligenter Lösungen, die die Weiterentwicklung der Solarbranche vorantreiben.
Das achte IRMCL-Treffen wurde vom chinesischen Verband für die Unterstützung multinationaler Unternehmen, dem China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations, sowie von mehreren Programmen der Vereinten Nationen (UN) und von China Central Television gesponsert. Das Event thematisiert die Rolle multinationaler Unternehmen bei der Förderung von Investitionen, bei der Verstärkung des Themas Corporate Social Responsibility sowie beim Einsatz für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung.
