Trinasolar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, has been awarded the bankability certificate for its Vertex n-type TOPCon bifacial PV modules by TÜV Rheinland, an independent third-party agency for testing, inspection and certification.
The modules underwent a series of rigorous tests as part of the process, receiving an overall positive result. This is a powerful endorsement of the quality, reliability and durability of Trinasolar’s n-type module portfolio, and provides further proof of the extensive benefits for global buyers, procurement teams and bank financing services that invest in the company’s products. The outcome has laid a solid foundation for the expansion of Trinasolar’s presence in the global market.
TÜV Rheinland conducted its tests based on the Bankability 2 PfG 2940 standard. These tests included thermal cycle sequencing, sequential mechanical stress testing, sequential stress testing on module rear side including UV radiation, damp heat sequencing, potential induced degradation (PID) testing, UV-induced degradation (UVID), light and elevated temperature-induced degradation (LETID) detection and optional PAN file examination.
The module performed especially well in the thermal cycle sequencing, sequential mechanical stress testing, sequential stress testing on module rear side including UV radiation and LETID test, displaying extremely low levels of attenuation. This aligns strongly with other tests conducted by Kiwa PVEL in 2023 and the Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC) this June.
Li Weichun, Global Head of Power Electronics and General Manager of Solar & Commercial Products, Greater China at TÜV Rheinland Group, said: "Trinasolar's Vertex n-type TOPCon bifacial modules performed exceptionally well in our bankability test, confirming their industry-leading quality and reliability. We have worked closely with Trinasolar to measure bankability, product carbon footprint, EPD certificate and product reliability and are looking forward to strengthening our collaboration with the organisation in the near future."
Wang Bing, Operation Quality Head at Trinasolar's Cell and Module Business Unit (CMBU), said: "Trinasolar has always championed a 'quality first' and 'customer first' philosophy, which has helped our products earn a strong reputation in the market.
“This certification reaffirms Trinasolar's approach to technological research and development, and our emphasis on continuously improving the performance and reliability of our products. We are passionate about bringing solar energy to more communities globally, and recognise bankability as crucial to achieving this goal."
