Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (“Trinasolar” or “the company”), a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, will showcase its innovative products and solutions at this year’s The smarter E Europe and Intersolar Europe, featuring two upgraded systems: the energy storage system Elementa 2, and the upgraded Vanguard 1P smart tracking system optimized with Vertex N modules.
Europe’s largest alliance of exhibitions for the energy industry and the leading European solar trade fair are being held in Munich from 19-21 June 2024, with Trinasolar set to display a comprehensive portfolio of utility scale, commercial and industrial, and residential products, including solar PV modules, mounting structures, and energy storage.
Gonzalo de la Viña, President Europe at Trinasolar, said: “Intersolar is an outstanding, highly anticipated event, and our European teams are excited to come and meet long-time as well as new business partners. It’s awesome to be exhibiting in Munich for another year. Booth visitors will be among the first to see our cutting-edge battery energy storage system, Elementa 2, plus our advanced tracking system, the upgraded Vanguard 1P, both of which represent a step-change to highly innovative and popular clean energy solutions.”
Utility scale solutions on show
The event will be a chance to see the new Elementa 2 storage system, and the upgraded Vanguard 1P smart tracker. The Elementa 2 platform is an advanced, flexible, and high-efficiency energy storage system for utility scale projects. It is equipped with Trina’s in-house LFP cells, and includes an upgraded module design, precise thermal management enabled by smart liquid cooling technology, and a robust fire mitigation and suppression system. More than just a product, Elementa 2 platform offers an end-to-end solution backed by decades of industry expertise, local support, and a commitment to innovation.
The upgraded Vanguard 1P smart tracking solution is set to launch to the European market during Intersolar 2024. The improved model includes a cutting-edge multi-motor system equipped with a slewing drive and bi-damper system. Its innovative design minimises oscillation time, supporting stability and improving dynamic response while raising the critical wind speed threshold. The new system combines seamlessly with Trinasolar’s Vertex N series of ultra-high performance n-type i-TOPCon solar PV modules, accommodating up to three full strings of Vertex N 720+ modules.
The Vertex N series is aimed at the utility segment and delivers high efficiencies, low degradation and better energy yields, and will be on show at Intersolar 2024 represented by the Vertex N 720W+ and Vertex N 625W+ bifacial modules. Also on display will be FixOrigin, the fixed-tilt member of Trinasolar’s mounting structure family for utility scale projects. It is fully compatible with large-format modules and has been designed for quick installation, high flexibility and compatibility.
The European team of Trinasolar’s International Systems Business Unit will be at the event, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the full breadth of Trinasolar’s capabilities in large-scale solar project development and operations.
Residential and C&I renewables
In 2023, Trinasolar introduced its n-type i-TOPCon dual-glass Vertex S+ module series for rooftops, the first on the market to feature an ultra-thin dual-glass lightweight structure. Intersolar 2024 will be an opportunity to see the Vertex S+ series up close, including the recently added Vertex S+ Full Black for superb residential aesthetics as well as the new Vertex S+ 500W+, for lowest system cost in commercial and industrial applications. These two new panels join the Vertex S+ core product, featuring up to 455W output power and maximum efficiency; and the Vertex S+ Clear Black, a highly versatile bifacial option for a variety of rooftop applications.
Adding to the growing rooftop offering is a new home storage solution, with further details to be made available soon.
De la Viña concluded: “At Trinasolar, we create future-proof power for Europe across residential, C&I and utility projects, and foster teamwork within the renewables industry to drive forward a net-zero future. We are very much looking forward to The smarter E and Intersolar, which will be an outstanding opportunity to bond with fellow industry peers who share our vision for the green energy transition.”
