112MW Power Plant with 670W Vertex Modules Connected to the Grid
2021.10.21

Dachaidan, Qinghai Provice, China - On September 17th, 2021, a 112MW PV power plant using Trina Solar 210 Vertex 670W ultra-high power modules completed grid connection in China.

The first batch of modules shipped on June 16th, and the project was completed and grid-connected in three months. Covering an area of around 535 acres, the PV project will provide about 220,000 MWh of green power per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 200,000 tons.

With its vast area and average altitude of over 11,000 feet, the Dachaidan region is an ideal location for solar power plant. To maximize the project's efficiency, developer Concord New Energy looked for PV modules with high energy yield and excellent reliability. After an exhaustive search and comparison process, Concord selected Trina Solar's 210 670W Vertex series, Trina's most advanced ultra-high power modules, just launched early this year.

The 670W Vertex modules are suited for the project site's harsh, which include high altitude, strong wind and sand storms, and large temperature fluctuations. This July, Trina Solar published a report on the mechanical reliability of 670W Vertex modules with details on their outstanding performance in extreme weather tests. Vertex modules have passed a non-uniform snow-load test, extreme wind tunnel test, extreme low-temperature mechanical load test and hail test.
